  Only downside was limited menu as venue is closing in 2 weeks time, staff were very poliye and professional both in the evening and the morning

  I visited this Beefeater while staying at the Premier Inn next door with a group of friends. I was the only brown person in the group; everyone else was white. Unfortunately, the service I received was noticeably different. The waitress who served us was rude and dismissive towards me from the start. When I asked about a few items on the menu, she abruptly told me they weren't available. My friends also commented during the meal that she seemed unnecessarily rude towards me. I left before the rest of my group. The next day, my friends told me that as soon as I had gone, the waitress's attitude completely changed. She became friendly and polite to them, and some of the menu items she had told me were unavailable were then served to my friends without any issue. I can't say for certain why I was treated differently, but the experience left me feeling singled out because of my race. It was upsetting and disappointing, especially as my friends noticed the difference in treatment as well. I hope the management takes feedback like this seriously and ensures every customer is treated with the same respect, regardless of their background.

  It's such a shame to hear this Beefeater is up for sale. It's been a real asset to the local community for years. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel looked after. The food is consistently good, with generous portions and great value for money. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, we've always had a positive experience. Thankyou to our lovely servers today Chloe and Lydia. It would be a real loss for the area if it were to close. Hopefully a buyer comes along who appreciates what a fantastic team they have and keeps this place going. Wishing all the staff the very best—they truly deserve it.
