Visited this location at 9:00 PM and had a poor experience. The staff looked completely exhausted, and the service was very weak. To make matters worse, they were out of many key food ingredients and drinks. Definitely not a great shift.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Being coeliac, I have to be careful where and what I order. As soon as the words ‘gluten free bread’ passed my lips, the gent serving me went into full allergy control measures. Hand wash, wipe down of counters, bread got from the back, individually wrapped, more wiping down of surfaces… couldn’t have asked for better. Sandwich was tasty, and piping hot.
A quick lunch is one of the hardest things for coeliacs to find, especially when it’s grab n go, so knowing here takes so much care and precautions over allergies is really reassuring.
We opted to takeaway, hence the 4 stars for atmosphere, and this isn’t due to anyone doing anything.

I came in here for lunch. But the person made me wait 5 to 10 minutes because the priorities was more focused on sorting out the just eat etc food instead of customers in the shop.

This used to be such a good Subway to go to, but now with the advent on online ordering, the team just cant seem to cope with both people walking through the door and getting those orders out. I was waiting 30 minutes for a wrap because rather than a dedicated person out back dealing with the online orders, they were trying to do them between customers - even though the queue was out the door! Got to work to eat my wrap and even though I said just cucumber and that's it... somehow they heard I wanted mayonnaise on it?! UG! Such a shame, its really not managed well at all :(

Genuinely baffling service. I've never been so incensed to leave a negative review for a place before. I still can't wrap my head around it. You would've thought I was ordering in Dutch. I feel compelled to write about it, against the interests of my time:
"Foot long BBQ Chicken & Bacon Toastie on Italian, please" - "Honey Mustard BBQ?"
No, not even close. "No, BBQ Chicken & Bacon Toastie", I even brought up the Subway app's menu to show them the exact item and it still didn't end there.
"We don't seem to have enough of the chicken strips, will the rotisserie do?" and it's like, thanks for asking but that is the chicken that should be in it anyway, so yeah, please.
Then they proceeded to put it in the oven like any other sub, but it's a toastie, it doesn't go in like that. I even stopped them on that "Hold on, shouldn't that be done like a toastie?" and they went "yeah, you wanted it toasted?" and in it went, no pause. I'm not one to make a fuss publicly, so I was giving up at this point, I knew what I was in for and was just hoping that was it.
A separate staff member rang it up at the till, looked at me, pointed to it "Honey Mustard BBQ?", "No, BBQ Chicken & Bacon Toastie." then the staff member who made the sub jumped in "It's a Honey Mustard" and I'm like "But it's not". "It has rotisserie chicken in it" (ignoring the fact that the Honey Mustard BBQ *also* uses rotisserie) and there was a brief back and forth from them trying to explain it and it came to "Will the Honey Mustard ring up the same price as the BBQ Chicken Bacon?", "Yes", "Okay, that's fine then, if it's the same"
That was a bold faced lie. I sat down and reviewed my receipt against the menu item and they'd overcharged me £1.20. Should've been £8.39.
Not even mildly confrontational so I just put up with it, finished and left.
I'm just... baffled? I really shouldn't be writing this but for some reason it's really got to me. I guess it's just the repeated failure from both staff along the entire chain of that service. Both lack of knowledge of their own menu items and the confidence from both to carry out zero due diligence when questioned every time - The Junior staff member preparing the order isn't all-knowing and can't be expected to just know this. So they should've asked the Senior member. The Senior, however, should know better.
I showed them the menu item - It was there! It's not some off-menu item. I could've placed my order via the app and collected it without fuss. Instead I ended up with a sub which (by sheer chance) had all of the correct ingredients in it, but was prepared incorrectly and then rung up incorrectly, resulting in me being overcharged for a depressing meal. I should've changed my order to a Breakwich as soon as the issues began. Or better yet, just left. If it's not one of the 10 promoted items on the display board behind them then don't bother even asking.
I've been to better Subways nestled into the corners of petrol stations.
Do better. Please
