Shocking staff, declined for buying energy drink, even after showing my purple driving licence which clearly states I’m above 16. Made the excuse that my sister was going to drink it when she had already checked out and was waiting to leave.

We bought a USB-C to USB-A cable 1m length from Tesco Kettering store on 14th April at 12.16 am and it costs terrible £10 and in the "Tesco Home". The cable is in a thin paperboard covering. When we opened the cover we found the cable is very thin like a string and with very slow speed charging. Its useless and huge lose of our hardworking money. So on 9th May around 4 pm at Tesco Kettering we tried to return this useless cable. But the lady sitting in the customer care says the thin paperboard cover is opened so they can't take back and refund the money. The main problem is after open the package and use this type of cheap products then only we can understand the quality of this type of low quality items. Anyway we lost our valuable money by buying this rubbish cable and now we can use only for tieing garbage bags. £10 is a very huge amount for low and middle income families. The terrible and unbelievable shocking thing is this very thin 1m useless cable costs £10. We thought it cost £10 so there will be some quality but when opened and used it this cable of very cheap quality and useless thing. Anyway customers are tricked by this type of cheap products and lose their valuable hardworking precious money. They are selling this type low quality items in thin paperboard cover and if customers opened the cover then they will not have to return and necessarily waste and lose money for this type of low quality items.
But the very important and interesting thing is B&M has no problems for returning mobile phone charging cable and we got refund from B&M and also low price.
Then our doubts is if a customer not happy with a product and customer is not getting the result as expected due to low quality then the customer has not the right to return it within one month?. When we opened the pack then only the customers could understand the quality of the product. Now It is a new way to pack cheap quality items pack in thin paperboard cover and exploit their valuable customers and making money.
Another we important doubt for customers is why different supermarkets in the same country, United Kingdom has very different policies. B&M take back opened charging cable if the customers has not satisfied and refund money. Lidl, Aldi and most other supermarkets refunding opened package when the customer has not satisfied with the quality of the product and taking back and giving money. Then Why not Tesco?

Really big supermarket and selling lots of Non-food items. I like the parking here as well as they have double white lines between each parking bay so you are less likely to get your car scratched here.
