Wanted somewhere to stop for breakfast on the way home from a camping trip. We sometimes find a local Premier Inn for this kind of occasion but the local one was fully booked and we were a bit later in the day. This was a great alternative. There were 5 of us, but plenty of space, easy ordering, good service, fairly quick. All in all everything we needed at the time.

I would generally only visit Tesco Cafe when I’m there to do my shopping, as the food is mediocre at best. Knowing this, my partner and I popped in for breakfast today, and as usual, the food was poor and very overpriced. Unfortunately, I had the audacity to ask the rather surly staff member for some extra butter for my toast, to which she replied that that is the portion, but that she would get me some. I said that I was happy to pay for it, to which she said that there is no way of charging me for it. (Sounds like a Tesco problem) She brought the butter, and I thanked her, she then turned on her heel and walked away. I won’t be returning, as there are many other places that offer a far superior product, along with helpful friendly staff. I did leave 50p on the table to cover the cost of the additional butter, mainly so that I can sleep at night without worrying that I might have affected Tesco’s profits. In summary, rude unhelpful staff, and supposedly freshly cooked food that is overpriced and tasteless.
