First of all I'll start off with the positives.
We came here for my birthday meal, so there were 4 of us in total.
We had quite a selection of food off the menu and all of us agreed it was good. I had the fillet steak which was lovely and very well cooked. The menu itself is very substantial.
The service was also of a very good standard, I can't remember the ladies name (could have been Rebecca), but she has a sleeve tattoo, I think on her right arm. She should be praised for her work, she's an absolute asset to your restaurant.
The not so good:
First impressions were not good at all, on stepping out of the car you're greeted with litter all over the place and within the grounds of the restaurant. We also wanted to sit outside due to the lovely weather, but it became very apparent that the decked area is in desperate need of a clean up, once again litter and grass growing through the decking. The tables and chairs need replacing, or at least washing down, as I ended up with cobwebs on my jeans! So we ended up sacking the idea of eating outside.
The first impressions of the inside are pretty good, but once you've sat down for a while, you start to notice that yet again, it needs freshening up. Not sure what's being used to clean the floor with, in our case, leading to the toilet, but your feet stick to the floor!
Thing's like cleaning outside areas, litter picking should not be missed, it's the very first impression that someone gets of any establishment and some of that litter has been there for a while! Inexcusable really and nearly put us off altogether!
