  ​Review: 0/5 Stars - Repulsive Hygiene, Toxic Attitude, & Total Management Failure ​I am absolutely revolted by the experience I had at this Co-op. This wasn’t just "bad service"—it was a major public health hazard combined with some of the most unprofessional behavior I’ve ever seen in retail. ​The Incident: Stomach-Turning Hygiene ​I watched a staff member behind the counter "acting up" in a way that was genuinely nauseating. While standing at the till, he was repeatedly touching his face and then reaching back to rub his bum before immediately touching the countertop and customers' food items. ​The Attitude: "It’s a Joke" ​When I confronted him about how unsanitary and inappropriate this was, the response was even worse: ​Total Disrespect: He was incredibly rude, impolite, and had a massive "bad attitude." ​The Excuse: He claimed he was acting this way because of his autism, but he was joking and smirking while saying it. ​Mockery: It felt like he was using his diagnosis as an excuse to be gross and disrespectful to customers on purpose. ​Management Negligence ​I am all for inclusive hiring, but disability is not a "get out of jail free" card for violating UK food hygiene laws or being a jerk to the public. ​Contamination: Rubbing your backside and then touching a food counter and groceries is a high-risk health violation. This is how bacteria and illnesses spread. ​Zero Supervision: Where was the manager? If an employee is physically unable (or unwilling) to stop touching themselves while handling food and mocking customers, they cannot be stationed behind a counter. ​The Result: ​I left my shopping right there on the counter and walked out. I am reporting this store to Environmental Health immediately. Co-op, you are failing your customers and your staff by allowing such a blatant lack of basic sanitation and basic human decency. ​STAY AWAY from this store until they have a full health inspection and some serious staff retraining.

  Enjoy shopping here, as the staff are always very friendly, unlike the well known store opposite.

  with the screens up since CV there is no where to put bags when packing now that the wire stands have been taken away. When asked staff seemed disinterested and could offer no explanation
