Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Called into Greggs in Nailsea expecting to grab something to eat, only to find the doors firmly shut. Taped to the door was a handwritten note saying the shop was closed due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
The note itself looked like it had been written by a child and Selotaped to the door as an afterthought. Surely a company the size of Greggs can manage a slightly more professional way of informing customers that a shop is closed.
I appreciate that unforeseen circumstances happen, but turning up to a closed shop with a scruffy handwritten note stuck to the door doesn't exactly give a great impression.

Don't rate Greggs, not sure when last used it, BUT Greggs Nailsea Tamuosa, sorry if I spelt your name wrong, thank you for being so kind, you went above and beyond with a beautiful smile, I'd had a trying day and popped in... and it was the end of your shift too.... . Thank you so much. Brilliant customer service ❤️

It's a Greggs so I'll rate it as such. It's cheap and cheerful and this place has nice staff. Its a good location with a view of the library and the pigeons meandering. Can't complain
Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.
What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
