We arrived and waited about 45 minutes for drinks, which they then ran out of sprite so we had to order something else. Then food took about 1 hour and a half even though we were told an hour which we were happy with since our plane was delayed however a hour and a half was really pushing it. The pizza arrived cold so we had to return it and get it reheated. The wraps were quite spicy which wasn’t stated on the menu. Overall, quite disappointed with the meal and when it came to paying they split the check in a strange way so that everyone payed different sums that wasn’t their own.
My fiancé, two friends & I chose to grab a drink at Frankie & Bennie's before catching our flight.
First of all, our table was never cleared from the previous people who were at our table, so we had all their used plates, glasses, rubbish, etc around us as we were having our drinks.
I was the only one out of the four of us who ordered food (wrap & chips), I waited 45 mins but no sign of my food so had to go up to the bar & ask as my flight was about to board. Staff were apologetic & boxed up my food to take with me, but I think they gave me less than half the portion of chips they normally serve with the wrap. Drinks took 20 mins to arrive but understandable as it was very busy with it being the summer holidays.
Overall, a bit of a waste of £27 (including my drink) as I never got to sit down and enjoy my meal, the portion size was mega off compared to the portion sizes I saw others with the same meal as me & the wait time was crazy. You'd honestly be better off getting a meal deal from M&S/Boots/WHSmith 🫠

Contaminated food, stone cold lasagne, unable to get refund on site.
Ordered just one lasagne and one garlic pizza bread with mozzarella. Sent both back because the lasagne was fridge cold in the middle and the pizza bread didn't have the cheese on. When the pizza bread returned, it had some beef basket on it as well, hidden in the cheese. Terrible contamination.
Asked for refund and complained, but they just give you a QR code and tell you to fill in an online form to request a refund which could take up to 5 days and may or may not be authorised. Not impressed at all. Said that they weren't even able to complain to their own seniors on the phone as there wasn't a system for this.
Another issue was that hardly any items were actually available on the menu due to stock issues!
We were bound for Newcastle and wanted to eat earlier due to our arrival time - we were met by Isaac at the welcome post of the restaurant . He was very apologetic as it had been a busy few hours for the kitchen and lots of the menu choice had run out but he was very helpful and showed us to our table , he offered to take our menu choice but we reassured him it was fine and we were happy to order from the app . It was clear that both baran and Isaac we under pressure but held the restaurant patrons with courtesy and a smile despite having complaints about the food from tables around us - our food was delivered to our table we had salad and sides and it was fine - both gents checked everything was fine part way through our meal and they continued to welcome guests into the restaurant- a job well done under pressure 😀

Been there yesterday before my flight and ordered fresh orange juice, calamari and the big mozarella stick. While the mozarella stick was done on the point and tasted amazing, the orange juice was served in a glass which was filled by the half with ice cubes !!! ( for which I did not ask for ). The waitress chucked the food on the table and disappeared so fast, that you should think she's on the run. I couldn't ask for removal of the ice and to top up to the size I had paid for and had to drink watered down orange juice, for the first time in my life. I paid for the full glass size but got only the half of it. But I am not finished yet. The calamari, that were the worst I had ever, and I am really a fan of seafood. The crust was dark and hard, the calamari inside tiny and so overcooked, so they shrunk, and you could barely taste them. The batter is not the main part, the calamari are, so why there is 75% batter and 25% calamari? I didn't order batter with a tiny bit of calamari, I ordered and paid for calamari, when it comes with a bit of light batter, thats fine, but I never saw something like this in my over 50 years of age. The batter was hard and so greasy, that when I had the first bite, I thought I am drinking pure oil/fat. And HARD is not crispy. When you injure the inside of your mouth when trying to bite inside the batter to get to the tiny calamari, then the point of what I would tolerate - even in an airport restaurant - is reached. You can see on the photo I took the oil on the plate. Absolutely disgusting and not chewable. Other airport restaurants get the food as well done correctly, I am Bristol based and flew several times from there. My food was always ok, I don't expect Michelin quality in an airport, but I expect that its eatable. Get some training and watch Youtube cooking channels to get an imagination of how crispy seafood / calamari should look like.
