The Warrener is a standout place that’s well worth a visit. The food is genuinely brilliant—full of flavour, thoughtfully prepared, and consistently high quality, whether you’re stopping by for a casual bite or a special meal. Every dish feels carefully put together, and you can really tell pride goes into the cooking. What truly elevates the experience, though, is the amazing staff. They’re friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Service is smooth, relaxed, and personal, which adds to the overall atmosphere. A perfect combination of fantastic food and exceptional service—highly recommended if you’re in the area.

Rating 0 because I won’t even get the chance to try it. Lady on reception refusing to book me in for dinner past 7:30 on a Saturday because she thought it was too late despite the kitchen closing for orders at 9 and them not being heavily booked. Feel like the staff at the restaurant, hotel and on complaints line were pretty unhelpful. They clearly just want to get out early rather than provide the service they promote.

Went for the first time to have a lovely 3 course meal. When we arrived we sat down at a lovely table but some talk radio banging on about Politics was coming out of the speaker next to us so loudly that we couldn't hear ourselves speak. We got up and tried to find a table without a speaker, not a chance, so we left and went somewhere else. It is a shame as this was our first visit and if is was good we would have been regular customers. With all that is happening in the world at the moment I don't want Politics rammed down my throat when i have come for a quiet meal.

I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever experienced such an unwelcoming pub. We visited The Warriner Pub after a hike in Thetford Forest with our family, including our baby. When we walked in, the place was quiet — no greeting, no staff engaging with anyone, no clear direction on how things worked. Naturally, we assumed it was a sit-yourself, order-at-the-bar setup. We sat down to get our baby settled and looked around for menus. No one came over. No one acknowledged us. After waiting, we went to the bar ourselves. That’s when it became clear just how poor the service was. The woman behind the bar gave us one of the worst looks I’ve ever seen — no smile, no welcome, barely even spoke. It felt like we were an inconvenience for simply walking in. Then a man, who identified himself as Sam (bald, with a beard), came over — and instead of improving the situation, made it significantly worse. His tone, attitude, and body language were dismissive and borderline hostile. It genuinely felt like he didn’t want us there. I asked him directly if he expected us to pick up our baby, leave our table, and go back to the entrance just to be seated “properly,” and he said yes. At that point, we were completely stunned. Treating a young family like that — especially with a baby — is unacceptable. There was no warmth, no professionalism, just arrogance and poor attitude. We left immediately. To make matters worse, the pub itself felt tired, tatty, and unclean, understaffed, and with an atmosphere that makes you want to walk straight back out. We would never return, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it.

We took our family out for a meal at the warner , thetford , we have 2 special needs adults and an autistic granddaughter in our group of 9, Waiting staff took an absolute age to attend to our table , when they eventually came just took a drinks order which was slow getting to us, they weren't at all busy , 10-15 minutes later he came back for the food order which took at least 40 minutes to arrive, portion sizes were very small , food wasn't correctly cooked or just cold ,asked if we wanted any sauces we said yes please these did not apear until we got them ourselves,we didn't want to stay for dessert but the children insisted but again we had to flag down waiting staff to take the order this took 15 minutes to arrive bare in mind to order consider of ice-cream or Sundae's not really something that takes alot of effort but these too were differing portion size for the same item, very poor standard of customer service and presentation, it is not a eating establishment I would recommend to anyone, personally I would have preferred to go to wetherspoons
