  Rang ahead to check kitchen was still open. Arrived and ordered drinks, then told it was a 2 hour wait for food. Not impressed.

  Sadly we visited as the pub is closing and tbh they should have had a hard close rather than a let's sell what we've got left. Guests of the hotel deserved better as everyday we're given a menu and a list of what they don't have which is parts of the actual dish on the menu. Today we got a call at 8:45am that our Sunday lunch is canceled as no meat! They knew that yesterday but now 6 of us have to get a reservation elsewhere last minute with relatives driving over an hour to meet us. Very disappointing. Beautiful building, lovely staff but not how they should've gone out.

  food was awful for how much it costs. worse than wetherspoons quality for double the price, service is also weird with the employee sighing when we asked for an allergen menu and was freezing cold in there
