  I’ve been shopping at Grove Road Tesco for several years, and over the last six months the standards have noticeably declined. Every time I visit, the shelves look half empty and products are often out of stock. The fruit and veg section is regularly empty and when there is produce available the quality is disappointing. I’ve repeatedly had to ask staff to get basic items like milk from the back as it hasn’t been replenished on the shop floor. Even things behind the tills, such as spirits and scratch cards are often neglected and not fully stocked. I’ve also repeatedly seen chilled products left on a flat-top trolley for extended periods before being returned to the shelves. As a customer, this doesn’t inspire confidence that fresh products are always being handled appropriately. The staff are always polite and do their best, but they genuinely look exhausted and demoralised. As a customer, it’s obvious they’re under pressure and the atmosphere in the store feels completely difference to what it used to be. One member of staff is consistently rude and unprofessional towards both customers and colleagues, which creates an unpleasant atmosphere whenever she’s on shift. She’s only recently started working there too… Since the new manager arrived a few months ago, I’ve rarely seen her on the shop floor or actively helping the team. From a customers perspective, the store seems poorly managed, standards have slipped and morale appears to be at an all time low. It’s disappointing because this used to be a well run local Tesco, but lately it’s become somewhere I avoid unless I have no other option.

  I go in this store nearly daily. Generally satisfied and staff cheerful. But we would like to see raisin bread, more flavours of Oykos & more availability and variety of meal deals. The bins have made a big difference to litter on our road. Thank you.

  Says open at 6am but it’s regularly just up to the employees on in the morning as they decide what time they open if they’re delivery might be hindered by you looking at the milk isle
