  I had my first Five Guys experience today after years of wanting to try it. Whenever I had asked anyone what Five Guys was like they almost unanimously said the same thing: “it’s nice, but expensive”. I think that’s fair and accurate. I had the classic bacon cheeseburger with some classic toppings, small fries and a drink. Bacon cheeseburger: £11.95 Small fries: £4.35 Soda: £4.45 Total: £20.75 £4.45 for a soft drink is crazy, I didn’t even notice this until I checked the receipt. The burger was really nice, well cooked beef with a nice crisp to it, still juicy without being sloppy. The burger gets a solid 8/10. The chips were excellent and more than enough for one person. Apparently the large is “quite large” and the medium can feed 3+ people. They weren’t greasy at all and had great flavour with the skin on. Only complaint is that there were loads of tiny chips less than an inch long which was tedious to eat. Not many full size fries in the bag! Not sure why this was the case. 6/10 due to the size of individual chips. Would’ve been 8/10 if they were cut a decent size. Service was super quick, staff were friendly and the music was decent. I might visit again but not any time soon. The quality is far greater than the cheaper options like McDonald’s or Burger King, but it’s priced at proper restaurant prices when it’s really in between fast food and restaurant food. Perhaps some meal deal options would entice me to return
