Unfortunately eggs were overcooked and the toast was too hard to cut with a knife- had to eat with fingers. The place is really nice and the staff are friendly so let it go. Returned today with grandson to buy him a milkshake. Somewhat concerned that one staff member was standing in their shoes on the counter to change the posters on the wall. The same counter the other staff member then made the milkshake on. This staff member also came straight from using the till to making the order - no hand washing. Its a shame because it seems popular and could be really good. But they need to just be more aware of the quality and cleanliness or they will lose custom. Sadly, wont be visiting again.
- JJJGMay 8, 20261.0Incredibly disappointing breakfast. Went for coffee a few weeks back and enjoyed so thought we'd treat ourselves to breakfast and wished we hadnt bothered. Service was painful and food even worse. I had poached eggs with smashed avo on sourdough which not only was cold, the sourdough was rock hard I struggled to cut it and taste was non existent, presentation was naff and had to assemble myself and on top of that i paid over £3 for bruised avo! My husband had eggs royale and to be fair he enjoyed it. Fine place for a coffee but I'd draw the line at that. We were in a rush so didnt bother asking for replacements as wait was already long enough. Shame as ideal location.
