About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Normal Greggs selection of food. The member of staff who served us was polite and courteous in her job.

I had a few issues with drivers cancelling my orders, I called the restaurant and spoke with Hayden. He was beyond helpful and he went about and beyond for the inconvenience. Thankyou so much Hayden!

Had to shout out Greggs at Gapton Hall this afternoon, we went in and ordered some lunch and my mum had fallen just outside in the car park. We tried both boots and superdrug for a cold compress as her hand was hurting and they weren't very helpful. However a nice lady that served us at the Greggs (couldnt get a name) was more than willing to supply some ice in a small plastic bag to act as a cold compress. Again such a lovely and helpful staff member and very engaging. The food too was top notch as usual Many Thanks 👍

Completely gobsmacked saturday just gone as customers blatantly witnessed a staff member putting hair in a breakfast sausage bap, it turns out it was the man's ex partner and they still were having issues

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
