Sadly I couldn't give zero stars, so I only had the minimum option of one star.
Went here on Tuesday 14th July in the evening.
What an absolute shambles of an experience, this is the worst Beefeater out there, and how this ever got to 3.9 on it's reviews I don't know. When we arrived a woman who turned out to be in charge, showed us to our table which was a wooden one that never gets cleaned properly, because you cannot see if it's clean or dirty, but the table was sticky. The cleanliness was questionable to say the least.
I was eventually served my lasagna, which was swimming literally in some sort of tomato juice which smelt odd. The food looked like slops, like prison food. It was inedible, didn't look or smelt right. I've had this meal in many Beefeater eateries, and it's never looked remotely like this. I complained to the waitress who didn't seem to be fully awake, and she actually asked me what I thought was wrong with it. My wife's meal of a steak she said seemed OK, but by now I'd gone off eating, and wasn't prepared to wait another half an hour, as going out as a couple, usually means eating your food at the same time!
Even our drinks order, we had to remind this waitress that we were still waiting after thirty minutes of ordering.
The location of this dive should have given the game away really, as it was surrounded by heavy industrial sites.
Look if you're desperate to use the toilet then this might be a good place, but if you're looking for good service and good food, I would advise you to go anywhere else but here.
I'm glad that Whitbread are closing some of their Beefeaters, and this really should be the first one they close down.
What a disgraceful way to treat people, paying hard earned money, to have rubbish like this.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
