Continuous bad experiences at this Subway.
Not only is the service consistently slow, but on my last two visits there have also been multiple issues with my order.
On my most recent visit, I upgraded my meal and paid extra for a Coke, as it costs more than the other drinks. When I got home, I discovered I'd been given a Coke Zero instead.
The day before that, I ordered a Steak & Cheese sub, but the bread was completely soaked through. I also ordered a Kids' Tuna Sub for my daughter, and the tuna was incredibly watery, making the sandwich unappetising.
To make matters worse, I tried to get a Fanta from the drinks dispenser, but it came out clear. I asked a member of staff if the Fanta and Sprite had been mixed up, and she said yes. However, when I got home and took a sip, I realised it wasn't Fanta at all—it was just the carbonated water before the syrup had been added.
This is the closest halal Subway to me, which is why I keep coming back, but I'm getting fed up with the repeated mistakes, poor food quality, and lack of attention to detail. I expect much better, especially when I'm paying extra for items that I don't actually receive.
Finally, please hire more staff to help with the constant delays. Having only one or two members of staff trying to serve customers during busy periods is simply not acceptable. Better staffing would significantly improve both the speed of service and the overall customer experience.

Absolutely gross, staff use the same gloves they touch the till and cash with to make your food and don't change. I had to ask for them to change their gloves & remake the sandwich. Got home and the cookies are stale definitely the ones from yesterday or even the day before. Absolutely minging

I was travelling from Edinburgh to London today, I got hungry on the way and called for takeaway at Subway, but no one answered my call, it was a very bad experience.

Absolutely disgraceful experience at Subway, entirely because of the manager, Stephen.
I went out of my way to come to this branch because it’s the closest halal option to me, around a 20-minute journey just to get food for my children. This wasn’t a quick pop-in; I made the effort specifically to come here, expecting a basic level of service.
I was already being served by another staff member who was polite, respectful, and doing everything right. You could tell he was trying his best, but he also looked genuinely uncomfortable the entire time. It was obvious he was on edge, constantly glancing over, and clearly intimidated by Stephen’s presence.
Stephen, meanwhile, was behaving aggressively from the start, slamming items around, creating a tense and hostile atmosphere for both staff and customers. It was uncomfortable just standing there. All this behaviour has clearly been recorded on their store CCTV.
Then, after my entire order had been prepared, at the final stage, while I was simply asking for sauce, Stephen suddenly stepped in and refused to serve me.
No proper explanation. No reasoning. Just a flat refusal.
I made it very clear I was more than willing to pay extra for anything. That didn’t matter. He still refused to let me pay for food that had already been made.
So after travelling 20 minutes specifically to come here, I was left standing there with nothing, while food I ordered was just… denied at the last second.
It was humiliating, frustrating, and completely unnecessary.
But honestly, what stuck with me most was the way the staff member serving me looked. He seemed genuinely afraid to speak up or question anything, which says everything about the kind of environment Stephen is creating behind that counter.
A manager should not be making customers feel this way, or their own staff.
Completely unacceptable. Do better STEPHEN.

The service in this subway is ridiculous, one girl on shift working at a complete snail pace, we just had to walk out after waiting over 20minutes, as she’s not acknowledging anyone waiting in store, completely ignoring the queue forming she’s just busy making online orders instead, but not informing anyone in store what she’s doing. First and last time at this branch. Off we go back to the west rd branch.
