Called in for lunch while in the area. Very disappointing experience! Found the prices over priced and the bar staff inattentive and indifferent. We ordered a club chicken sandwich and a pate. It was not busy. After 30 minutes we asked about our order and were told 5 minutes - it arrived a further 20 minutes later with the hot sandwich served cold. I would not recommend and would have preferred to give a zero rating.

Had supper here on a Friday evening whilst visiting Rothbury. Food good, reasonably priced, plenty of choice. Service excellent. Friendly and efficient staff ( thank you Jordann!) would happily return/recommend.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the outside of the building but was pleasantly surprised. We called in for a late lunch and the dining area was lovely, comfortable and relaxed. There was also a good eclectic mix of low level music being played. It was bar service so food and drink were ordered at the bar. We received swift and friendly service. I ordered the vegan burger and it was really refreshing to have a burger on the menu which was made from actual vegetables rather than an ultra processed meat alternative. My other half had fish and chips. Both portions were decent sizes for a lunch time serving and were tasty. There is a beer garden but sadly it lacks any character. It's a shame really because it could be made into a very attractive and inviting environment.

Went for Sunday Lunch where the service was terrible and the food was poor. Arrived at 1:30 and ordered straight away after getting drinks. After 30 minutes, we noticed 2 tables leaving due to how long they had been waiting to get food. We persevered, but the food took over an hour to arrive. At no point did the waiting staff come to the table, provide any updates/apologies or ask if we wanted any more drinks. When the food arrived, parts of it were inedible. The beef and the yorkshires were good, but the "roast" potatoes and the stuffing had been deep fried and badly burnt, and the veg was boiled and soggy.

90 minute wait for preordered food. Manager wouldn’t come out of kitchen to speak to us. Sunday lunch was poor for the price
