Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
Fantastic and speedy service! The staff was welcoming and the shop was spotless and inviting. Wonderful shop. Recommend!

Never have any soup left.
Been into this shop many times now over the past few years at various times of day, but mainly around 1pm to 2pm & its ALWAYS the same answer, "NONE LEFT", in fact they are so predictable at not having any to sell that i now only go in out of curiosity just to see if they have any & always start by saying, "im probably wasting time by asking but do you have.......... ", but its always the same poor show.
Must be the only shop in Berwick that say they sell soup but never actually has any.
Your always better going to the other more reliable takeaways that do soup & as a bonus, its also usually much nicer & more appealing than the boring same old only option "tomato" that all the other gregg stores only ever do, thats if they ever have any!
What a predictable bore this shop is.

Phoned up and asked them if they had any iced cream fingers left. The lass on the phone said she had one left. I told them I would be a couple of minutes. I arrived a couple minutes later. The lad behind the till had sold it. What a sack

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
