- BWBeth WattJun 15, 20261.0Waiting at kiosk to be served while the assistant behind the counter chatted to a colleague who was finishing her shift. I asked if they were done chatting and the girl who was finished smiled and apologised, I smiled in return and said “no problem”. Then the young man (John) who was serving said rather abruptly “here, it’s this one” as he gestured toward the other side of the til he was standing at. His tone and body language screamed livid that I had interrupted his conversation. I said he sounded a bit rude to which he responded “you’re rude”. I absolutely despair at the level of disrespect some staff have towards customers. He clearly saw me waiting, continued his conversation then got angry that I had dared asked to be served. I truly was gobsmacked.

- JDJames DMay 17, 20261.0Nothing wrong with the shop itself really, but the state of the trolleys is honestly something else. First one had a wheel rattling away like it was on its last legs. Every aisle sounded like I was pushing a shopping trolley full of cutlery down a cobbled street. Shopping’s grim enough without providing your own soundtrack. Went back out for another one and found half a doughnut sitting in it. Lovely touch. Nice to see the trolleys are being kept in such pristine condition. Third trolley had a wheel completely seized, so every turn became a full-body workout. By this point I felt less like a customer and more like I was competing in some sort of trolley-based Highland Games event. Eventually found a fourth one that was only mildly defective, which genuinely felt like striking gold. I’m not expecting luxury here, but a trolley that rolls in a straight line and doesn’t sound like it’s actively dying would be a smashing start.
