Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Very rude staff with attitude towards all customers. One of the drinks I ordered was caramel iced latte, which had no flavour of caramel at all. When I spoke with them, they replied saying we can only add 3 shots of syrup with unacceptable tone and looks. I wouldn't recommend going there to this branch in specific because of the staff's attitude. On top of that Garbage was overfilled and no one is bothered to clean the pile.

Bought an iced bun from Greggs in Milton Keynes today (10.05.26) as a treat while travelling home. Unfortunately, by the time I opened the bag, most of the icing had stuck to the paper packaging and peeled straight off the bun.
At that point it was just a sticky mess and honestly didn’t even look worth eating anymore, so it ended up in the bin.
If I’m going to waste calories on a cheat snack, I at least want the iced bun to still resemble an iced bun by the time I get home. Greggs seriously needs better packaging for iced products because this clearly isn’t a one-off issue.
It’s frustrating paying for an iced bun only for the bag to end up eating half the icing before you do.

Hopeless, 1.45pm, no cheese salad baguettes, no sausage rolls ready. I suppose it must come as a big surprise to them what they sell on the average Saturday lunchtime???!!

The guy serving Sunday 12 April early in the morning seemed positive and knew his regular customers. I listened to him encouraging his regulars to get the App. Seems very positive for a staff member.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
