Tesco Express is an absolute nightmare when it comes to pricing. Convenience store or not, the markup they slap on basic everyday items is borderline absurd. You walk in expecting quick, reasonable grabs, only to realize you are getting completely ripped off compared to almost any other local shop in the neighborhood. What makes it even more ridiculous is comparing it to Waitrose. You would assume Waitrose is always the premium, pricier option, but for a huge range of staple items, Waitrose is actually noticeably cheaper while offering vastly superior quality. Paying Tesco Express prices for mediocre quality makes zero sense. Ditching Tesco entirely is the only logical move here. Paying a tiny bit extra at Waitrose (or often even less) for significantly better produce, fresh food, and an overall better shopping experience is a no-brainer. Tesco Express is simply not worth the frustration or the price tag.

Went into this Tesco today, I’m in a wheelchair and I have got to say the staff were so helpful especially one of the staff called I think it was Taylor. Hope someone from head office pays recognition.
