  If you’re looking for a proper traditional pub with real character, The Sun Inn in Prescot is the place to be. As the oldest pub in Prescot, it’s packed with history, charm, and an atmosphere you just can’t fake. Perfect for the 30+ crowd and couples wanting a relaxed, friendly night out without all the chaos of modern bars. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, the staff are brilliant, and the beer prices are some of the best around — proper cheap pints without sacrificing quality. Whether you’re after a quiet drink, a catch-up with friends, or a cosy night with your partner, this place delivers every time. Friday night karaoke is always a fantastic laugh with a brilliant crowd and great vibe, while the live music on Saturday nights really tops the weekend off. There’s always something going on, but it still keeps that cosy local pub feel. A true local gem that keeps traditional pub culture alive. Highly recommended!

  We had such a fantastic time at The Sun Inn! I took my children along to watch the football derby, and the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant—lively, welcoming, and perfect for families. What really stood out was how accommodating the pub is for kids. The darts room and pool table were a huge hit and kept them entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed the match. It’s not always easy to find a place where both adults and children can have a great time, but this place really nails it. I also have to mention how refreshing it was to sit back with a lovely cold lime and lemonade while soaking in the buzz of the game. On top of that, the live acts are always top-notch—we’ve loved every visit and always look forward to coming back.   I’ve been a few times and the vibe is so good great for all ages the live music is fantastic and the landlord and landlady and there staff are so friendly and welcoming x

  This pub has new owners and has been updated and decorated . They have kept the traditional feel to cosy little nooks , but added space by cleverly moving the bar . They have added dart board and pool table . Good choice of beer too !
