About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Lovely hard working staff, but it’s always understaffed. It’s not fair on the workers working overtime doing the job of 2/3 people during busy rush hours. They’re only young girls aswell. For a store in that location you need more than 2 staff members on (one running round the back cooking all the food and one on the till with a queue out the door) Anyone can walk in and out and take anything so easily. Please sort staffing issues out for the sake of the workers

I go Greggs for me and my partner in hospital. No sandwich in fridge, so I order 2 sausage rolls. Long wait, only one staff on till, food come cold and very hard. Manager sitting in back while big queue. I ask speak to manager. Homer Simpson Man come, not helpful, bad attitude, talk like very important person but just in charge of pasties which burnt. Manager miserable Andy Ruiz. He not fix problem, just push food to me and waddle back. Very poor service, not polite. I not come back again.

Extremely disappointed with the service today. After waiting 10 minutes for my order, the manager informed me it would be at least another 10 minutes. Total lack of organization and zero urgency. If I wanted a 20-minute wait, I would have gone to a sit-down restaurant, not Greggs."Avoid this location if you’re in a hurry. I waited 10 minutes only for the manager to nonchalantly say it would be another 10. Poor management and even worse communication regarding wait times

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
