Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
I am a regular customer at the Greggs Manchester Arndale branch, mainly because it is close to my home. After many years of visiting this store, I can honestly say that the best customer service I have ever experienced was from Emma.
No matter how busy it is or what time of day, she always greets customers with a warm smile, patience, and a positive attitude. She consistently provides excellent, professional service and makes customers feel genuinely welcome. Her friendly yet highly professional manner brought back a level of true customer care that I had unfortunately started to lose hope in.
I was truly happy to see such a high level of respect, friendliness, and dedication to her work, and I sincerely hope that the management appreciates having such a valuable employee. I also hope the company recognises her professionalism and dedication and that I will see her in the highest position she truly deserves.

Not the best at all, busy weekday at 4pm and they have NO sandwiches in the cooler, none in the back and just 1 sausage roll left.
If you can’t stock it, shouldn’t run it!
Better off giving this one a miss

This place seems to have so many days closed due to ‘issues’ but when it is open it’s a great place when passing through

Ran out of sausage rolls, how does a sausage roll shop run out of sausage rolls.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
