    Food was great! Service was awful! They forgot my beer. Guy running the food wasn’t allowed to get it, but also wouldn’t get my server. Tried flagging down any other of the servers (couldn’t find mine), but they all ignored me. I ended up just going to the bar and getting it to myself. Dinning area was filthy and LOTS of uncleared tables.

    If I could give more than five stars, I genuinely would. My recent visit to Giraffe was one of the most enjoyable restaurant experiences I have ever had, and almost all of that was thanks to our incredible server, Zaid. In a world where truly exceptional customer service can sometimes feel difficult to find, Zaid reminded me exactly what outstanding hospitality looks like. From the second we arrived until the moment we walked out the door, every interaction was handled with professionalism, kindness, humour, and genuine enthusiasm. The first thing that stood out was the warm welcome. Instead of feeling like just another table in a busy restaurant, we were greeted with a smile that immediately made us feel comfortable and appreciated. Zaid introduced himself politely, showed us to our table, and took the time to make sure everyone was settled before explaining the menu and answering questions. Nothing felt rushed, and it was obvious that he genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. His knowledge of the menu was seriously impressive. Every question we asked was answered confidently, whether it was about ingredients, portion sizes, or recommendations. Rather than simply pointing to the most expensive items, he took the time to understand what everyone liked and suggested dishes that perfectly matched our preferences. Those recommendations turned out to be fantastic and ended up being some of the highlights of the meal. Throughout the evening, Zaid’s attention to detail was remarkable. Drinks arrived quickly, food was served promptly, and everything came out exactly as ordered. He managed to check on us at the perfect moments, making sure everything was going well without interrupting our conversations or making us feel pressured. Empty glasses never stayed empty for long, and plates were cleared efficiently while still allowing us to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. What impressed me even more was how effortlessly he handled what looked like a very busy restaurant. Despite looking after multiple tables, he never seemed stressed or overwhelmed. Every customer appeared to receive the same friendly attitude and attentive service. Watching him work, it was clear that he has outstanding organisational skills and a natural talent for hospitality. He moved around the restaurant with confidence and professionalism while maintaining a genuinely positive attitude. The experience reminded me that great customer service can completely transform a meal. Good food is important, but the people serving it often leave the strongest impression, and Zaid certainly did. His positive energy spread throughout the restaurant and contributed to an environment that felt relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone. It’s easy to overlook excellent staff members because they simply make everything seem effortless, but the reality is that providing this level of service requires dedication, hard work, patience, and genuine care for customers. Zaid demonstrated all of those qualities throughout our visit. Every interaction showed professionalism combined with warmth, creating an experience that felt special from beginning to end. Staff members like Zaid deserve recognition because they represent the very best of the hospitality industry. They turn ordinary meals into memorable experiences and give customers a reason to return again and again. It is clear that he takes pride in his work and understands that great service is about much more than simply taking orders and delivering food.     I had an absolutely outstanding experience at Giraffe, and the main reason was our server, Zaid. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the level of service was nothing short of exceptional. Zaid greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel welcome straight away. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. He took the time to explain the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everyone at the table had exactly what they needed throughout the meal. The food was excellent, but Zaid’s customer service elevated the entire experience. Drinks were topped up promptly, empty plates were cleared quickly, and he checked in at just the right moments to ensure everything was perfect. It was clear that he genuinely cared about making every guest have a great time. What stood out most was his positive attitude and enthusiasm. Even though the restaurant was busy, he remained calm, efficient, and cheerful, giving every table the same high level of attention. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in their work and consistently goes above and beyond. Customer service like this deserves recognition. Zaid is a real credit to Giraffe and sets the standard for hospitality. Staff members like him are the reason people return to restaurants and recommend them to friends and family. I can honestly say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, thanks in large part to Zaid. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your server, you’re guaranteed excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. Giraffe is fortunate to have such a dedicated and hardworking member of staff, and I hope his efforts are recognised by management. Thank you, Zaid, for making our visit so memorable.     After waiting 30 minutes and calling the staff member who served me, they said there had been a mistake inside kitchen and the order still hadn’t been prepared. In the end, I waited 40 minutes for a fish and chips dish. The menu said that food usually comes out within 10 minutes. I asked for a compensation and they offered a cappuccino.

    I was visiting for dinner with my partner. Ordered the tacos and chicken kebab. We kind of knew there was going to be a problem due to the amount of food waiting under the warming lamps waiting to be distributed. When it was eventually brought over to the table after sitting under the lamp for 15 mins (I was sat opposite it) the chicken kebab and fries were cold! We mentioned. It to the server and she took it away and re ordered another one. The tacos were alright and I finished them whilst my partner waited 15 mins for his to come. He paid extra for sweet potato fries which of course didn’t come when the meal was replaced. By this point we couldn’t care complaining again. It wasn’t a staff shortage issue as there was groups of staff stood round talking whilst one staff member seemed to be taking the food out on her own. Also it wasn’t exactly busy! Very disappointing!
