When we went to sit down and start eating a lady from the store came up to us and told us we can’t eat in here, even though we bought a roll and a drink she said that we can’t sit here and eat just because we got a pizza from domino’s. Even though she asked us nicely to leave we were still offended because we were paying customers. Unpleasant experience. Also there was a weird smell in the shop but couldn’t figure out what it was

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
