A few months ago I randomly realised that I hadn’t had Burger King in around four years or so and decided I really wanted to visit one again. The very next day I found out that a brand new Burger King was opening at Ashton Moss Leisure Park which couldn’t have been more convenient. I regularly visit the cinema there, so having a Burger King nearby gave me the perfect excuse to revisit it and enjoy a bit of nostalgia before a film.
Before visiting, I had read quite a few negative reviews about long queues, ordering issues and customer service. However, I also recognised that this was a brand new location staffed largely by new employees, many of whom appeared to be young people gaining valuable work experience. With any new opening, there’s always going to be a settling in period.
My first visit wasn’t perfect. The self service kiosks weren’t working properly, so I had to order at the counter and I was unable to scan my app to collect points due to a technical issue. When our food arrived most of the order was incorrect and needed to be sorted out. That said, the staff were polite and helpful throughout, and one particularly kind employee even gave me a complimentary ice cream as an apology. It never felt like anyone was being rude or careless but just that a very busy new team was still finding their feet.
A week later, I decided to give it another try and the difference was remarkable. The kiosks were working perfectly, I was able to collect my points through the app without any issues, and our order arrived quickly and completely correct. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we were able to sit inside and enjoy our meal comfortably.
Overall I’m really glad I gave the restaurant a second chance. The improvement in just one week was impressive and showed that the team had taken on board the challenges of the opening period. The food was enjoyable, the staff were friendly, and the convenience of the location makes it a great addition to Ashton Moss leisure park . I will definitely be revisiting.

Order online it states to order no longer then 5 mins away. Anyway once I got there in 9 mins of order I was second in the queue. I was stood there for a good 18 minutes. I was watching them working then I shouted nicely I have an online order she came to me and ask for code she then got my food from the top of the counter thats been there all that time it was cold.when I got it. Looking behind me all the customers looked very impatient 🙄. The communication with the staff too staff too run the business was 0/10. I only give good reviews but this hit the nail on the head.
When i got home I had too pre heat my food for my family and my self I definitely won't go again. Sad as I love burga king so much 😢 0 * from me and wife

As a new mum, I am absolutely appalled by the so-called “baby changing facilities” at Burger King Ashton.
The toilet is clearly labelled as a baby changing room, yet when I went in to change my baby’s nappy, there was no changing table, no changing unit, and nowhere suitable to safely change a baby at all. The only thing provided was a nappy bin.
I was left with no choice but to put my baby on the cold, hard floor and sit on the floor myself to change her. I recently had a C-section, so getting down onto the floor and back up again is difficult and painful, especially while trying to care for a baby. No parent should be put in that position.
What makes this even worse is that anyone with a disability, mobility issues, joint problems, back pain, or anyone recovering from surgery would likely struggle even more, or be unable to use the room altogether. Labelling a toilet as a baby changing facility when it does not contain any actual baby changing equipment is completely misleading.
This isn’t just inconvenient – it’s a basic welfare and accessibility issue. Parents should not have to change their babies on a dirty toilet floor because a restaurant has failed to provide the facilities it claims to offer.
I am extremely disappointed and genuinely shocked that this is considered acceptable. Either install a proper changing unit or stop advertising the room as a baby changing facility. Parents and carers deserve far better.

Had the most incredible time here the other day 😁 Was running out of things to do with the kids towards the end of half term so decided a trip to the long awaited burger king was in order! Was very busy inside so had a short wait to place an order, but to me that’s just a good sign that it’s worth waiting for 🙌 And it certainly was! The kids were made up with their crowns, and it’s nice to see staff who interact with ALL customers, instead of pretending the kids don’t exist! The service was fairly quick, a short wait but that’s to be expected with how busy the place was. Didn’t mind the wait because when our food was ready the young lady who handed it to me was so lovely, asked me if I had everything I needed and if I needed any help getting the tray to the table or a high chair bringing over as I had my buggy with me. You don’t see that kind of above and beyond service from many fast food places these days, so it’s really nice to know that these staff want to do all they can to give you the best experience 😊 The food was absolutely delicious, and worth waiting for because it was all hot and fresh. When my daughter knocked her drink over she got quite upset but the staff were so quick to remedy the situation, comforting her, refilling her drink, and cleaning up the spill so we could all go back to having a lovely time! In my opinion this is one of the best places to eat on the entire leisure park, and we will absolutely be returning! x

I was looking forward to the opening of this new Burger King at Ashton Moss Retail Park, as it gives another option to visit after a trip to the nearby cinema. The restaurant itself was clean, modern and otherwise up to Burger King’s usual standard.
Unfortunately, the acoustics are shockingly bad. Not the music — I could barely hear any — but the amplification of customer noise inside the restaurant. The volume level was so extreme that it created an uncomfortable and almost hostile atmosphere. I’m not normally sensitive to noise, which makes this even more surprising.
This is not a minor issue. The noise levels were so severe that they completely ruined the experience and made the restaurant somewhere I would actively avoid returning to. Given how long this site took to open, it is astonishing that such a fundamental design flaw appears not to have been addressed.
A brand-new restaurant should showcase Burger King at its best. Instead, this felt stressful and unpleasant to sit in. In its current state, I honestly believe the restaurant should close temporarily and address the acoustic problems properly before expecting customers to dine there comfortably. The noise levels were so excessive that I genuinely found myself wondering whether the restaurant complies with acceptable acoustic standards. This is not a minor issue — it completely ruined the experience and made the restaurant somewhere I would actively avoid returning to.
Places like Ashton Moss are meant to be shared social spaces — cinema, restaurants, retail — somewhere people can relax for a couple of hours. If the environment instead feels chaotic, aggressively noisy and stressful, it undermines that purpose. Poorly designed public-facing spaces can absolutely contribute to an atmosphere that feels harsher and less welcoming.
For now I would be inclined to recommend the Drive-In to anyone contemplating a visit, to avoid the racket.
