  Really disappointing experience at Tesco this morning. I purchased the wrong item and realised when I got back to my car, so I immediately went back into the store to return it. Unfortunately, the Help & Services desk was closed, even though the store itself was open from 7am. I was told I would have to wait until 8am when Help & Services opened. I asked if a member of staff could help instead, and was told they would get the team leader Vlad. Unfortunately, Vlad was incredibly unhelpful and showed absolutely no willingness to assist. I was simply told I would have to wait until 8am. It would literally have taken two minutes to resolve the issue, but instead I was left standing around because apparently no one could help until the Help & Services desk opened. What is the point of having the store open at 7am if basic customer service isn't available until 8am? Surely there should be someone authorised to deal with simple returns when the store is open. It was a complete waste of my time and a very poor customer service experience. Vlad, do better. Tesco, you need to do better too.

  Local living around Tesco. I don't mind getting asked for ID. But, don't be rude to customers about it. Next time that happens I will cause a scene everytime your members of stafe gets rude.

  this review is mainly for kandhan/ kanthan, sri lankan tamil at tesco. most staff here are generally good, occasionally you get someone having an off day like a newer young lad who was a bit rude recently, but nothing worth escalating, he'll learn. kandhan though gave me the best service i've experianced at any tesco. i couldn't find an item on the shelf and asked him for help while he was busy unloading stock at a different aisle. instead of just saying it wasn't available, he asked me to wait, went into the back, and came out with the item along with his loaded trolley to restock the aisles. genuinely went above and beyond. 3.5/5 for tesco, prices could be better. 5/5 for kandhan.
