  I purchased milk from Tesco 7 dys ago 4 milk together for hole week and although the expiry date has not yet passed, the milk had already gone bad. I returned to the store to explain the issue and requested a replacement. However, the night-shift staff refused to replace it and told me that it was not covered by Tesco’s policy. I politely asked them to show me the relevant policy, but they did not provide or show me any policy. Instead, I was told to speak to. The attitude and manner of communication from the staff member were also very disappointing and made me feel that my genuine concern was not being taken seriously. I have had a similar issue with Tesco before, and on two or three previous occasions the product was replaced without any problem. However, on this occasion, the particular night-shift staff refused to help me and dealt with the situation in a very unprofessional manner. I am not only complaining about the product, but also about the way I was treated and the refusal to explain or show me the policy when I specifically asked for it. I would like the store manager to investigate this complaint tomorrow, speak to the staff involved, and contact me directly regarding the outcome. I would also appreciate an explanation of Tesco’s actual policy regarding products that have gone bad before their stated expiry date. I hope Tesco takes this complaint seriously and ensures that customers are treated respectfully and fairly in the future.
