Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

I get it and taste it and it tastes very watery and watered down like there wasn’t enough syrup in there, keep in mind I’ve been to different Greggs around London and they all make it nice, but today it was very watered down. So I politely asked if more syrup could be added into it as it was very flavourless, to which the older Asian employee replied saying I’d have to pay for a new one, but I didn’t want a new one. I wanted more syrup. And even if she was going to make a new one she’d make it exactly the same: watered down. She said no three times and I’m so disappointed especially since it is so hot today and I just wanted a drink. I left the drink there and didn’t even have it. I paid for a watered down tasteless drink and when I asked for it to be altered to what it should actually taste like, I was told no three times. I’m never going to the Wembley Greggs ever again. They really need to improve their customer service. It’s rubbish

She was very informative, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. What stood out most was how she helped me set up the Greggs app—something no one at other branches had taken the time to do before, even though I’ve visited many times. Her level of service was exceptional. I would happily rate her 5 stars—or even 10 if I could—because she was absolutely brilliant. Greggs would do well to have more staff like her. Kudos to you, Sahar—keep up the fantastic work!

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
