- LALouise AdamsAug 13, 20261.0I had the most disgusting experience today. Wanted a loaf of bread from their bakery section which is not wrapped. Finally bags arrived (5 people asked in total with a mixture of 'we don't do bags anymore' to 'Shall I go and get one?' ) Bags finally arrived and were placed by the baguettes which were wrapped...no where near where they were required. Made it to the checkout...this is the DISGUSTING bit- Till operater removed loaf from bag, handled it and placed it on scale as he was scanning it. He had no idea, not an inkling of what he had done that upset me. Zilch hygiene awareness. I went and got another loaf. A laminated scan card by till would solve the problem. TESCO - WAKE UP, TRAIN YOUR STAFF & IMPROVE HYGIENE.
- DDDuke.Q8Jul 27, 20265.0I have always found this to be a very reliable supermarket and have never quite understood the relatively low rating. I have shopped here both when it has been quiet and at its busiest, and have never had a problem. Despite being labelled a Superstore, it feels much more like a large Metro, which is probably where some expectations become misplaced. It does not carry every highly artisanal or specialist item that Tesco may list online, but for everyday shopping I usually find almost everything I need. The store is consistently well stocked, the range is impressive for a town-centre location, and the Clubcard prices can make a noticeable difference. It is also extremely convenient for anyone living in or passing through central Teddington. Taken for what it actually is, rather than what the Superstore name suggests, I think it serves the town very well.
