back in the first lockdown, barney set up camp in his mum mimi’s kitchen with nothing but time, flour and a lot of butter. after a few messy experiments, our hand-rolled croissant pastry cinnamon bun was born.
he popped some flyers through the neighbours’ doors, and suddenly couldn’t bake fast enough. his brother gabriel jumped in, friends brought their bikes, and before long buns were flying out the door every morning.
that little home project turned into a bakery just off portobello road and a few more across london. these days, the menu’s grown alongside us. you’ll still find the original cinnamon bun, but also flavours like pistachio, choc and our weekend specials. our focaccia has a bit of a cult following too.
