About

Bakery
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Just arrived at 8:45 for breakfast deal to be told there are no breakfast items left...it's not even 9:00. Also charges more due to being in train station but worse service. Avoid, go to the Greg's just around the corner. Cheaper, always has what you want and nice service by people who actually remember you.

The worst place ever, I bought a croissant and it was not even cooked properly. It was so raw and doughy inside. Then the second time I came I got sausage rolls, they were cold and I even told the lady they’re not warm at all and she said they don’t heat it up. I’m so furious why you can even sell that. It was cold. Honestly the worst service and place in Richmond.

Cold food. Could not be warmed up. This is the worst Greggs by a mile I have ever been to. Change the staff, warm up the food or keep it warm. There is the very good Puccinos coffee bar in Richmond station , on the westbound platform.Much much better than this rubbish .Next time I will go back to there. I expect this awful Greggs to go bust .

Without the manager of this store, Teresa, this shop would not deserve the ranking but Teresa really enhances the atmosphere and her customer service skills are outstanding. She pointed me towards the app which I downloaded and found so useful (and got my free coffee ;o)). Thank you so much, Teresa!

Maybe put more workers or the fastest ones at the Greggs inside a station considering we all have trains to catch and your prices are inflated in stations! I had to put back all the stuff i grabbed because of the massive queue formed and 3 more people did the same as me! Very bad

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
