For a long time, I have been purchasing breakfast from this branch every morning before work. As a Muslim, I do not consume pork products due to my religious beliefs, which is why I used to regularly buy the chicken sandwiches. I previously tried to explain this situation politely to the staff and requested that chicken sandwiches be prepared earlier in the morning, considering that Muslim customers may rely on non-pork options. However, not only has this request been consistently ignored, but I have also noticed that even the previously available chicken sandwiches are now often not prepared until around 8:00 AM. Unfortunately, this no longer feels like an inconvenience — it feels dismissive and discriminatory. It is deeply disappointing to experience this kind of attitude from such a large and well-known company. I would expect a business of Greggs’ size and reputation to demonstrate inclusivity and respect towards customers from different religious and cultural backgrounds. This issue could easily be resolved with a simple adjustment, yet the continued refusal to accommodate non-pork customers sends a very negative message. I kindly ask that this matter be investigated seriously and that the approach taken at the Raynes Park branch be reviewed. No customer should feel ignored or excluded because of their faith.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
