- CTCoin TossAug 31, 20221.0I don't often leave a review for chains such as greggs as you pay for what you get but my recent experiences with this particular branch have left me more disappointed than usual, several orders in the past have been for 4 or more "hot" sausage rolls, now bear in mind they charge extra for singular hot sausage rolls than a prepackaged 4 cold ones, I don't much expect to pay the "extra" then receive aforementioned cold ones, let alone sandwiches and cakes that look sat on, nor pastries that are burnt. Anyone looking for a quality pastry or cake in the penge area is better off going too coughlans bakery

I asked for a fresh sausage roll from the oven seeing as they was ready (I didn't want the last cold one on the shelf) anyone would think I asked her for money from her purse! And the ready made sandwiches look like they've been sat on.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
