Myself and my two friends arrive at 5pm, the restaurant was pretty much empty. We sat down at the exact same time as another table. This table got their starters before we had even ordered. I kept asking if we could order and we kept being told “yes one second”. We were sat right next to the entrance and the main waiter (the only one really), who I think might have been the manager, just kept on walking past us to greet new customers and making sure they were sat down before even getting our order. He must’ve walked past us maybe 8 or 9 times. We ended up having to ask a waitress that just arrived on shift if we could order. Me and my friends were in a rush and if we weren’t we would’ve got up and left. Again, the table of people that came in at the exact same time as us, we’re eating their mains as our drinks came. Completely disappointed by this service. It was extremely frustrating and just like I said, we were more than happy to get up and go somewhere else however we were in a rush and knew if we tried going somewhere else, we might as well have stayed at this place.

We stopped at Zizzi after our museum visit, and it turned out to be such a great spot for lunch! The atmosphere was welcoming, and it was the perfect place to relax after exploring the museum. I ordered the Pollo Milanese, and it was delicious—filling but still light enough for lunch. I also tried the dragon fruit margarita, which was so good! A great meal, a fun atmosphere, and the perfect stop during our day of exploring. I’d definitely recommend giving Zizzi a try!

Food was amazing such a good menu and lots of choices. However the service I can not agree with, the waitress and staff were incredibly rude, we asked to order food when we ordered drinks and that for some reason was not allowed. We asked to take off the service charge (£15) at the end of the meal as me and my family were that disappointed, the waitress was incredibly rude about this request. I would definitely not attend again ‘!

Unfortunately, my mother and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Zizzi Bow Street, Covent Garden today, despite Zizzi being a brand I have always genuinely liked. Firstly, I showed the team a current UNiDAYS graduate promotion before ordering. I was then served a mocktail and had already started drinking it when the manager, Richa, came to our table and told me quite abruptly that I could not use the promotion. I spent around 12 minutes trying to explain the situation, but no reasonable solution was offered. The drink was not cancelled either, so I ended up having to pay for it despite the misunderstanding happening before it was served. However, the most serious issue was my food. I ordered the Pollo della Casa and specifically asked for the bacon to be removed because I do not eat pork for religious reasons. Despite clearly stating this, my meal was still served with bacon in it. For a Muslim customer, this is not simply a preference or a minor modification. Pork is a serious religious dietary restriction, and I find it completely unacceptable that such a clear request was not respected. Restaurants should take religious dietary requirements seriously and ensure they are properly communicated to the kitchen. What made the experience worse was the lack of care afterwards. Nobody came back to check whether everything was okay, and when we asked for the bill, we waited around another 15 minutes to pay. The service charge was removed, but I do not consider removing a service charge an adequate response to being served pork after explicitly asking for it to be removed. The restaurant was not even particularly busy, yet several tables were left with dirty plates for a considerable amount of time. I have kept my receipt and have submitted/will be submitting a formal complaint to Zizzi regarding this experience. I am also requesting a refund for the charges I believe I should not have been required to pay. This was extremely disappointing and, most importantly, the handling of my religious dietary requirement was unacceptable. I sincerely hope Zizzi investigates what happened at its Bow Street branch and ensures that another customer does not have the same experience.

We are tourists, and we are dissatisfied with our experience. From the outside, the restaurant looked very appealing. However, our first interaction with the waitress was highly unpleasant. We were furious about the food. We ordered the truffle carbonara. Only one of the pasta dishes actually tasted like truffle; the others one had absolutely no flavor of it at all. The organization was not good: we were served our appetizers and main courses at the exact same time. To make matters worse, we went to the restrooms at the end of our meal only to find that there was no toilet paper and the toilet itself was broken. When we asked to remove the tip because we were so unhappy with our experience, the waitress gave us a dirty look and to ask, 'Really?'"
