I am very disappointed with our dining experience. Unfortunately, there were several issues with both the food and drinks, which made the overall experience far below our expectations.
Firstly, the rice in the main meal was not properly cooked. Some of the rice was still hard and undercooked, making it unpleasant to eat. The chicken was also extremely dry and overcooked. The noodles had an uneven colour, with some parts noticeably darker and even burnt. Overall the food gave the impression that it may have been sitting in a cooking or warming pot for some time rather than being freshly prepared.
There was also an issue with the apple juice from the children’s meal. We found what appeared to be pieces of ginger residue in the juice. This was particularly concerning as it was a drink intended for a child.
The beer we ordered was also not cold at all and needs to required ice as well after serve the drinks. We would have expected it to be served chilled, but when we mentioned the issue, no ice was provided either.
These issues are not simply a matter of personal taste. They concern the basic quality and preparation of the food and drinks. Undercooked rice, excessively dry chicken, burnt noodles, residue in a child’s drink, and warm beer are all disappointing, especially when paying restaurant prices.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and the quality of the food and drinks was significantly below what we expected.
Extremely disappointing experience at Wagamama Wembley.
The service was absolutely terrible. Staff repeatedly ignored us when we tried to get their attention, which made us feel completely unwelcome.
I was dining with a friend, and my food arrived first, while hers didn’t arrive until around 30 minutes later. How are two people supposed to enjoy a meal together when one person has practically finished before the other even receives their food?
There was no proper attention or care from the staff, and the whole experience was frustrating from beginning to end. For the prices you pay, I would expect a much better standard of service and organisation.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Wagamama Wembley and I certainly won’t be rushing back. Very poor and disappointing.

We visited today and were very disappointed with the service.
My husband ordered a peach iced tea, and the staff member asked whether he wanted a medium or large. He said large. As we were ordering from the lunch menu, she did not mention that choosing a large drink would mean it would no longer be included in the lunch menu. We were only made aware of this when we were charged the full meal price instead of the lunch menu price.
We also specifically asked for a peach iced tea, and the staff member repeated the order back to us as “peach iced tea.” However, we were given a cloudy lemonade instead.
When we pointed this out to the staff, rather than apologising or offering to replace the drink, we were told that this was what we had ordered. The staff member did not make any effort to correct the mistake or offer a replacement.
Overall, we were very disappointed. If a large drink is not included with the lunch menu, this should have been clearly explained when we were ordering, especially as the staff member specifically asked us what size we wanted. On top of that, we received the wrong drink and were not offered a replacement, yet we were still charged the full meal price.
Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and customer service made the experience particularly disappointing.
All I can say is avoid at all costs! This restaurant is right next to Wembley Stadium so understandably gets very busy when there’s an event on. Logic would tell you that they are used to this and have strategies to manage large amounts of people, wrong!!!
Luckily, we pre-booked a table so bypassed the queue of people that had been stood there for over an hour despite being told it would be a 40 minute wait. They had also yet to find out that there was a 40 minute wait for food once you’ve got a table and that drinks would likely arrive at least five minutes after that which we were told by our waiter when we sat down.
We ordered four dishes, after 40 minutes one of them arrived, 20 minutes later and after asking three separate people where our food was finally, the second arrived. Needless to say, we never saw the third and fourth as we were absolutely fed up of waiting by this point. I grabbed the manager and asked him to provide us with a bill for the drinks as that was all I was prepared to pay for. His excuse was that some staff had left and the remaining ones were lazy!!!! I can only assume he was talking about the kitchen staff as the front of house staff were absolutely rushed off their feet!
Unprofessional, over capacity and completely incompetent management!!

I am giving one star because I can't give NO stars. I visited Wagamama Wembley (in the Outlet Mall) today with my daughter and, yes, it was very busy, but if they can't cope with the demand they shouldn't even be there. We were taken to a table by a blue-eyed guy called Jay (or Jake). He seemed to be stressed from the start, but that was ok. Then, after 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our orders, a guy finally came and said they were very busy (no air-con in such an expensive place is outrageous). I have to mention that guy came to us because I practically grabbed him. After taking our orders, we waited more 20 minutes until my plate came. Only my plate. I thought my daughter's order was on its way, but fast forward 15 minutes, my plate already cold and no sign of it. When I asked that same blue-eyed Jake/Jay what happened, he "darling" me, saying "We are very busy darling, you have to be patient". I beg you pardon??? Is it the way to treat a customer? I left my (cold) plate right there and we moved to Pizza Express, that was also busy, but treated us very nicely and very professionally as usual. If Jay/Jake can't keep his cool in a busy and hot environment, he should find another job. No more Wagamama for us from now on! And I'll make it a life mission to let people know how badly we were treated there!
