- MQM QSep 17, 20261.0Very disappointing experience. My boyfriend and I made a reservation to have drinks at the Mayfair Bar, and the reservation was accepted normally. I arrived a little earlier than him and was told I couldn’t enter because there was a private event and only hotel guests were allowed in. However, my boyfriend was later told that the real issue was apparently that I was alone. If that is the policy, it should be made clear when making the reservation — not when a customer arrives at the door. I was appropriately dressed and there was absolutely no reason for me to be treated that way. I felt extremely uncomfortable, embarrassed and disrespected. The way this was handled was unacceptable, especially for a place that presents itself as an upscale establishment. I would not recommend it based on this experience.
