This place will end up closing down.
Rude bar staff, strutting around in sports direct get up like they’re gods gift to the world.
Zero customer service.
I had been drinking Guinness, ordered another one and he poured a Cruzcampo and would NOT believe me that I said Guinness.
Told me I pointed at the Cruzcampo and asked for one which just didn’t happen.
Instead of just accepting it he told me I was wrong, shrugged a load of times and turned his nose up at me.
I just left as don’t like being accused of being a lier in a place I’m paying for drinks.
They say hospitality is hard but it’s partly due to people like this.

3rd owner I’ve seen - stunningly done inside - bar was rammed, seats were full, punters were lovely, bar staff were great - only criticism would be more bar staff (get at me if you need staff!!) Loved loved loved it, and as a side note £2.90 for a pint?? you’ve got my custom forever!!!

Our first visit to the black horse and Harrow was a great one, they have new owners according to the Italian man we spoke to in the beer garden. The bartenders were quick and very nice and we had a lovely night out before they shut for the night. The bathrooms were also very nicely decorated and we stayed to watch the Bosnia game it was lovely.
Since I’ve lived in Catford this pub has changed hands a few times, it’s felt a bit cursed to be honest.
The latest version of this pub is by far the most promising, they have gone back to basics and it feels like a proper pub again. They have put some additional walls up so it fills out properly, feels like a pub should - cozy and welcoming rather than a vast open space. Can’t argue with the prices either.
This fills a gap in Catford - Catford House is more for families, Black Cat is for the old geezers, London & Rye has gotten really rough. Black Horse and Harrow is perfect for normal folk who just want a relaxing pint after work. Hopefully this sticks!
