  Staff at check out are awful and rude, they make snide remarks seemingly wanting confrontation. Definitely need retraining.

  Hello there I purchased a iPhone 17 pro max on the 23/07/26 the phone was damaged when I got the phone out the box, they told me that doesnt affect the phone inside. The phone is over heating and also has damage to the bottom right corner I went to Lewisham Tesco mobile superstore on 01/08/26 the worker there told me he couldn’t issue the refund because of the price the manager would have to be present he told me to come back in 2 days time I returned to the store on the 03/08/26 when the manager was there he was instantly dismissive and didn’t want to even look at the phone or give me a refund even though I’m within my 28 days of purchase he was saying you brought it in on on the 23rd it’s now the 3rd so therefore I’m still within my consumer rights to get a refund I said and he also laughed at me front of my child and partner this is not acceptable what so ever… I paid £1200 for this phone a lot of money for something that is faulty and has damage to it I went to another store to see if they could be if any assistance this was the Beckenham Tesco mobile store this was the same day 03/08/26 a worker told me I’m able for a refund but there needs to be a manager present because of the price of the phone he told me to come back the next day 04/08/26 I was on my way there I phoned up to make sure the manager was there she answered the phone she already knew who I was and was expecting me she told me she had spoken to the Lewisham Tesco mobile manger and asked him why he did not resolve my issue and she said that it’s not her problem I need to return the phone from there store I purchased it, I went to the store again today 04/08/26 in Lewisham to try get a refund again he said no and even the actual store manger of Lewisham named Mike said he cant do nothing where he’s not with that department Iv been sent away after being treated and spoken too so unprofessionally and been messed about going back and forth different days just to get no where and I’m left with a faulty iPhone I’m very unhappy and disappointed I’m going to send pictures of Tesco mobile store manager laughing at me and being very unprofessional and rude Iv spoken to customer service multiple times on the phone and they have said the only way to resolve my issue or get a refund is to return to the store I purchased it from Iv said this is not possible as they are just dismissive and are not helpful at all this has caused me so much stress and I wouldn’t expect to spend so much money on a phone with no help this man Alex should be ashamed how he talks to women and the way he acts as a manager towards people’s
