  Extremely expensive. I cant believe I am the only one noticing this? Maybe all people that love this place are filthy rich? The clothes are low quality and Next level prices. Electronics, toiletries?! A normal one pound hair brush is £10. £10!! Baby formula is nearly £2 more expensive for same brand than other places. Even the local tescos and co-ops are cheaper than this. Also, staff is rude as hell. If you dont have money issues then yeah go get ripped off, 5 stars for you. PLEASE READ MY FULL £10 BRUSH EXPERIENCE! I actually went into this Tesco because I had forgotten to brush my hair. I thought I could simply buy the cheapest hairbrush available and sort my hair out in the toilets. Well, I stood in front of the hairbrush section for several minutes in disbelief. Most brushes were over £10, and even the tiny ones intended for children's curls were £7–£8! I couldn't find a SINGLE ordinary, affordable hairbrush. I don't care if they're branded or made from extinct unicorn spikes!!! A supermarket this big should stock at least one basic, budget-friendly hairbrush! In the end, I refused to pay those ridiculous prices and went to my appointment with unbrushed hair. Proudly.

  I went to buy a few products for dinner. I didn't know exactly where to find these products. I asked a member of staff and he took me to find all the items I wanted to buy.

  A bit like the end of the world... queues are very long and snake. They've collapsed a lot of the ranges so you can't find what you really want (e.g. no lamb kidneys or liver in what is an utterly massive store), a lot of big brands over represented whereas niche stuff has gone. It feels like fort knox and when I go there I feel like a criminal (barriers can't let you leave and booze is all alarmed). The last two times i've been there i've walked out without buying anything because I feel so empty. It never used to be like this. It's just very sad. Just my opinion but there are better options up the road (Aldi) or down (Sainsburys). I use both. Tesco is a poor middle, and is no longer relevant to me. Fine if your objective in life is just to exist.

  If I can give 0 stars I would. I have lost my patience with this particular supermarket and the brand in general. While the other branches aren’t much better, this is my local one. They employ lazy, elderly and uninterested workers who clearly turn up for a free check after delivering their customers a horrible shopping experience but thank you for making it soooo easy to shop at M&S instead. If they aren’t old and clueless, then they weaponise their Incompetent and require you to help them do their job. The manager is never around when needed and the shop creates their own rules amongst them, that aren’t on the website. I travelled almost 2 hours as online it said this particular branch had what I needed to collect in stock. Once I arrived - this section of the shop was closed 4 hours before closing time and when I asked them to open it, everyone suddenly pretended they had no idea who had the key and they explained they closed it because people steal. So my question was… is closing down this section and denying me access to purchase the appropriate response to this issue? Their solution to loosing money was to lose more money. While the security guards they hire stand at the front of the shop making calls on their phones or talking amongst themselves. They never honour information reflected on the website and they are in no particular hurry to assist in serving their customers. This shop makes me HATE shopping. Good thing M&S is starting to pop up at every corner.

  As someone who works in retail, I am appalled with the service I received today with my mum. On the trolley self service, we were left waiting for long periods of time. Which wouldn’t be an issue if staff were genuinely busy and apologised. All the staff situated there lacked customer service skills. Elizabeth was exceptionally rude. She didn’t acknowledge us at all. After we’d waited for a while, she didn’t look at us once. No smile. No ‘hello’ or ‘sorry for the wait’. Didn’t acknowledge my thank you. The lack of training is shocking.
