I don't often leave reviews but I've never had any issue with a Tesco express/or other shop to the extent of this one. - There is never anyone on the till/to approve age restricted items at self service, have had to wait up to 5 minutes before. Albeit I haven't had any issue with the staff individually. - Stock control isn't great as the meal deal mains selection is usually quite poor- not the end of the world but never known a Tesco to be this bad with selection. - Lastly, fridges are too cold in the meal deal section, I've had multiple times where wraps/pasta is borderline frozen and not enjoyable to eat whatsoever and I had a time recently where there was actually a frozen clump of pasta.

Shut early prior to time given. Not so friendly staff once confronted.

Great store, layout could be better and staff morale could possibly be better too. I collected once or more for charity here and collections were always quick. The only feedback I’d have is to bag up items labelled ready for a volunteer to collect on introducing themselves but staff didn’t seem too compliant with doing so hence the lower score.

"I’m really disappointed with my recent visits to the Tesco on Mattias Road N16. Not only has the produce been consistently understocked and sometimes past its best, but I’ve also noticed the manager frequently smells of alcohol and is often smoking. Despite raising my concerns to him, he hasn’t addressed them. I hope this can be taken seriously, because I really want to see some positive changes here."
