I would like to make a complaint about the behaviour of two members of staff during my visit to your store this morning.
While shopping, I asked a staff member if the store sold gift cards. He said no. A little later, while I was at the checkout, I was looking for gift bags and asked him if they were available. Again, he said no.
While I was paying, the staff member started speaking to the security guard in Hindi about me. As I understand Hindi, I heard him mention that I had first asked for gift cards and then for gift bags, and they were laughing about it. I found this very unprofessional and disrespectful.
After completing my payment, I approached the staff member near the exit and asked, "Is there anything wrong with asking for gift cards and gift bags?" He replied, "No." I then asked why he had made those comments about me. He denied saying anything. As I was leaving the store, I heard the security guard make a disrespectful remark, calling me a "crazy woman."
I am disappointed by the way I was treated. Customers should be able to ask questions without being mocked or discussed by staff, especially in another language under the assumption that they will not understand. I believe all customers deserve to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
I would appreciate it if this matter could be looked into and appropriate action taken to ensure that customers are treated respectfully in the future.
