- ACAndy CastellanosJun 9, 20261.0I have had multiple unpleasant experiences with Maya at Tesco, and unfortunately today’s interaction was the final straw. Every time I encounter her, she comes across as rude, condescending, and unwelcoming. The way she looks at customers makes it feel as though she is constantly looking for a problem rather than trying to help. Customer service should make people feel comfortable and respected, but my experiences with Maya have been the exact opposite. Today, I politely asked another member of staff for a bag. Before he could hand it to me, Maya took the bag from his hand and went to scan it herself. I am fully aware that bags need to be scanned and paid for, so that was not the issue. The problem was the manner in which she did it. Her attitude felt unnecessarily abrupt and dismissive, just as it has during previous encounters. One bad day can happen to anyone, but this is not an isolated incident. Over several visits, Maya has consistently been unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable as a customer. Tesco’s reputation is built on good customer service, and unfortunately my experiences with Maya have fallen far below that standard.

Having experience working in customer service I am absolutely disgusted by how this guy talked to everyone around. I also know he has talked to people like this in the past but today was absolutely unacceptable. Who ever at Tesco who has hired this guy I’m disappointed that something has not changed by how disrespectful he is. I find that people probably know the guy I’m talking about due to the fact that he probably talks to every customer like that. I never write reviews, but this guy was just terrible and was so rude to me.
