- CCCammajJun 16, 20261.0During my last visit, which definitely will be my last one (I'm gonna avoid this place at all costs), a guy working as a cashier tried to refuse selling me 3 cans of Cider, which was a part of my home groceries for almost 50£. The reason he specified was, that my brother was there, who for sure looks for less than 18 and didn't have his ID with him. (He was just there to help me handling those heavy bags). This indian man was not only very stubborn and impolite, but also acted as though he could not even understand was I was trying to tell him in proper english. I am fully aware of the british law related to selling in stores and the existance of the Licencing Act, Challange 25 etc. But guys, come on, nobody in my entire life made me such a problems in the entire UK. Given that especially this time you could have easily say that I wasn't just buying "alcohol for a minor", but shopping for all the weekly food items and cooking related stuff to which also include this mentioned cider. By the end of the day, I succeded in completing the transaction after calling the manager. This was definitely the most unpleasant expirience in Tesco I've ever had. Based on my situation from 16 June 2026, I absolutely don't recommend this place, unless you want to loose your temper dead easy.

I have been going to this Tesco since 2+ years and always had a great experience and friendly but ever since this change since a short while the new ones are horrible. I hope to see the old employees again. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way
