  I had a very upsetting experience outside this store on Hornsey Road today. While walking to my car with my daughter, I was publicly shouted at and accused of stealing cereal by a member of staff from across the street. His name is Ayon, and his colleague to tell him name. He did not even check the last transaction before he said that. No one approached me privately, no checks were carried out in front of me, and no attempt was made to verify the accusation before embarrassing me publicly. I was left feeling humiliated and shocked, especially as my child witnessed the incident. When I asked for clarification and the name of the person who made the accusation, Shanaka refused to provide any information or explain what investigation had been carried out beforehand. Accusing a customer of theft without evidence — and doing so loudly in public is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Staff should be trained to handle situations like this discreetly and respectfully. I hope management reviews CCTV footage and ensures better procedures are followed so no other customer has to experience this level of embarrassment. Not the first time and always the Asians accusing and being racists, we cannot do that to them.

  Awful. The staff watch you wait in a queue for the self service. I pray every day this Tesco will close down

  Really badly organised Tesco. Been in there a few times a the staff are always rude.
