An unexpectedly enormous Tesco for the location. I’m not necessarily complaining, but I do have questions.
From outside, you expect a fairly normal local supermarket. You enter and it just… keeps going. Another aisle. Then another. Bakery. Household goods. An unexpectedly ambitious frozen section. At some point you begin to wonder whether the building is actually larger on the inside.
The range is excellent. Meal deal fully operational. Multiple sandwiches available rather than the usual end-of-day choice between egg and something involving falafel. There are several types of washing-up liquid. Sponges have their own section rather than being wedged apologetically next to some bin bags.
By all conventional measures, this is a good Tesco.
But where are all the cars?
A shop of this magnitude surely requires infrastructure. I have walked around the outside. I have looked down adjoining roads. I have mentally surveyed the surrounding area. There does not appear to be a car park remotely proportionate to what is happening inside.
Who are all these people?
How did they get here?
Are they local?
Did they walk?
Is there an underground car park I have somehow missed?
The longer you spend inside, the more troubling the question becomes. This isn’t an Express where everyone has wandered in because they’ve forgotten milk. People are conducting substantial shops. Trolleys are involved. Multipacks are being purchased. One man had enough bottled water to suggest preparations for a prolonged interruption to the mains supply.
Presumably these goods must eventually be transported somewhere.
And yet outside: nothing.
It feels as though somebody accidentally built a Tesco intended for a retail park in the middle of somewhere that absolutely does not have retail-park levels of parking, and everyone has simply agreed not to mention it.
Still, very good Tesco.
Large. Well stocked. Meal deal secured.
Parking situation remains under investigation.

This is a great Tesco store (but I think they all offer great prices and quality products!) which has great products at very reasonable prices especially when you scan your loyalty card! The staff are always friendly and helpful and it is always a pleasure to shop there!

It's fine for small shopping.
Self-checkout, minimal staff, but I guess it's normal nowadays.
Reasonable prices only if you're a club member.
If you're not, expect to pay twice.
If you're a member, expect to spent twice of time for shopping as their app is too slow to load.
And if you don't have internet in the mobile or connectivity issues, and you won't be able to scan, expect to pay twice as well. They prevent screenshoting it, so price and time of your shopping is dependent on your internet which is stupid.
5 star for shop, 1 for club card inconveniences.
