I think this is the first bad review I have ever left, as I don’t normally complain. I visited Tesco this morning and could see that the freshly baked croissants were ready at the back but had not yet been brought to the front. I asked at the till if I could have two plain croissants, and the staff member told me that someone would bring them to me. While waiting inside the shop, I could see through the small window in the door. The lady who was getting my croissants was moving cardboard boxes from the floor. I continued watching because I was concerned that she might handle the croissants with her bare hands. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened. She stopped moving the boxes, picked up a bag, grabbed two croissants with her bare hands and gave them to me. When I told her that I had seen her touch the croissants after handling cardboard boxes from the floor, she replied that her hands had been sanitised. I explained that I had watched her handling the boxes immediately beforehand. She then told me that she would bring the trolley to the front so that I could pick up the croissants myself. There was no apology or sign of regret. Instead, she spoke very confidently, as though she had done nothing wrong. I found the whole experience extremely unhygienic and unacceptable, especially when handling food that customers will eat directly.

Someone needs to take megaphone privileges off the woman who works here in the mornings. Why’s she screaming through it at 10 past 6 in the morning?
