  I’ve been going to Roma for the past five years and I’ve never had a complaint. I love the sushi, especially the tempura sushi, black cod and salmon. The food is always delicious and the quality never disappoints. The atmosphere is amazing, whether I’m going for a meal or enjoying the bottomless brunch with my friends. It’s such a good vibe and the perfect place to catch up, enjoy great food and have a good time. You honestly can’t go wrong with Rocker. It’s one of those places I’ll always come back to!

  First time visiting this restaurant and our first impression was excellent! The raw fish was incredibly fresh and all the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Martin, our waiter, who was fantastic and helped us with all our requests. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant!

  If you’re thinking of going for the brunch GO ELSEWHERE. You’ll be paying premium prices (£200+) not for an “unlimited” experience but more like a “How much can you eat in 2HOURS BEFORE WE KICK YOU OUT” experience. It’s absolutely terrible how fast they expect you to eat and get the hell out of their restaurant. I understand from a staff point of view, they may be pressured by management (our waiter did apologise for the rush) but I’m unsure of what management are expecting to achieve with such poor customer experience ? it’s not worth paying for such a rushed experience. The amount of starters are cut off after 3 re-orders, you can’t get re-orders of every starter only the basic ones, they force you to move onto your mains and you can barely get a sip of a drink before they’re forcing you to move onto your desert. So if you think what your paying for is worth it, just be aware that it comes with considerable constraints. So if you’re planning on going here for a good dining experience, go elsewhere (unless you enjoy a timed food challenge). There are plenty of high end restaurants around the same price point that allow you enough time to chew your food. Such a shame because it made my partner’s bday meal feel like a high end fast food experience than an actual established restaurant experience . Date of visit: 26.09.26 Time of booking: 13:30

  I was really disappointed with the portion sizes of the set menu. The portions were so small that it felt like this restaurant is only suitable for people who’s on diet, unless you’d like to fill yourself up with rice.🍚 The starter, spinach salad with sesame sauce, was barely enough for 2 person (we were 3). The sashimi was fresh, but the slices were extremely thin and the portion was much smaller than what you would normally get at a chain Japanese restaurant. The main dish tasted alright, although they had to redo the beef because it wasn’t cooked correctly the first time. Overall, the food may be fine in terms of taste, but the portions are seriously disappointing for the price. Unless you have a very small appetite, you may leave the restaurant still feeling hungry.

  Fantastic food. Appalling service. Let’s start with the good. The food at ROKA is excellent, always has been, and remains genuinely unique. Some of it is quite amazing. The setting is lovely too. Unfortunately, that’s where the compliments end. We arrived and couldn’t actually find anyone interested in greeting or seating us. Eventually we located the maître d’, nose-deep in his iPad doing something apparently far more important than acknowledging the customers standing in front of him. Meanwhile, members of staff were having a fairly vocal argument — always a charming way to welcome guests to an expensive London restaurant. Things didn’t improve. A waiter was apparently unable to take an order for a glass of wine without summoning the wine specialist. Food was then dumped onto the table by a waitress with such force that I’m genuinely surprised the plates survived. The overwhelming impression was that nobody particularly cared, nobody wanted to be there, and nobody appeared to have been properly trained. And this is what is becoming increasingly irritating about eating out in London. If restaurants want to charge premium prices, circa £100 a head plus, then they need to deliver a premium experience. You cannot charge these sorts of prices and treat good service as an optional extra. ROKA’s kitchen is exceptional. The food deserves far, far better than the service surrounding it. Lovely setting. Insanely good food. Horrendous service.
