After hearing that RH London was opening, I had been looking forward to trying the food, especially after liking the restaurant at RH Guesthouse in NYC.
The service and ambiance were amazing, and the space itself is really beautiful! Emily, who served us, was especially kind, attentive, and really understanding, which made the experience feel much better overall.
Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing, especially for a first visit. The grilled octopus tasted overly burnt, with quite a strong charcoal flavour, and some of the other dishes felt a little underwhelming. The lobster roll, for example, barely had any sauce, so it came across quite dry and lacked the flavour I was expecting.
After we mentioned the food to Emily, she was incredibly understanding and deducted the dishes from the bill without us even asking, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really appreciated.
Overall, the setting and service is a 10/10, but the food didn’t quite live up to the excitement or the standard I was hoping for. I’d still be open to coming back, as it may have just been opening-day teething issues, but I hope the food improves to match the beautiful atmosphere.
